Quentin England Hotel
The location is good, rooms are adequate, my ensuite was ok, although the hot tap to the shower was dangerous and burnt me a couple of times due to it leaking and the temperature is it too hot even from the sink tap.
The carpet to the stairs needs updating and the flooring to the restaurant.
Experience of stay
Stayed 14-16 November 2014.
Good location but that was nearly the only good point. From opening the door to room 304 I/we were unimpressed. The strong smell of the bleach used to clean the shower was not only stinking that roomit also affected the bedroom. Terrible. Went to receptionand lady there was helpful but was unsure of whatwas done to deal with the smell but it improved. Bad tv reception and limited channels. No kettle or complimentary water/teas/coffee. As such there was no point in leavin two plastic glasses on thr table. No hotel literature present in the room. An outdated telephone was affixed tothe bed headboard with a dodgy shelf. The two flexi lamps were terribe and did not hold in the positions on the bed head board. The shower was a curtain affair so the bathroom floor would be soaked for a while after showering. Better to put a retainer on the floor to catch shower water.
The window latch was broken and was secured by a wooden block which did not seal the window shut. So a breeze was present. The bedsheets were all white and made the beds unattractive as they were badly presented. No additional pillows or another colour was present. The beds looked dull. No hotel literature present in the room. This is a shame. The price for two nights was €238. The price was not worth it compared to the quality of room. Wifi did not work and a reask given was because of iphoe 5/5s. Nonsense. Sort out this basic internet issue. If you cannot offer a standard room then ensure the basics are sound as per above. This accommodation was akin to staying a youth hostel. I could have chosen better.
