Guesthouse at Rempstone
My room had outside walls, so was chilly despite the heating being on.
Had a nice warm welcome from the owner. Room was clean and what I expected from budget accommodation. Plenty of tea and milk in the room. The stairs were not carpeted so it was quite noisy when people walked up and down. Unfortunately, the car park was full so I was asked to park half a mile down the road in a pub car park and walk back in the dark with my bags. I wasn't happy with this but had no option, this was disappointing. The wifi didn't work at all which was a shame as it was one of the reasons I booked this place.
Still good after all these years
I have stayed at the Guesthouse a few times over the course of several years and, I believe, different managements, and the most recent visit confirmed my previous good opinion.
My room was generously sized for a single, spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The bathroom and other facilities were similarly well-kept, and staff were friendly and pleasant.
