The childhood home to the Author Reverend W Awdry Lorne House was the inspiration of the Thomas the Tank Engine stories.
With its beautiful solid oak floors wonderful soft furnishings and furniture Lorne House is a great place to spend a relaxing break or take a pleasant business trip. Set in the village of Box there is a great choice of Pubs within easy walking distance and Bath is only 6 miles away offering the guest a great range of restaurants and hostelries . There is an attractive garden and ample parking for all our guests.
