About the hotel

There has been an Inn in the picturesque hamlet of Lower Vobster since the turn of the century, quenching the thirst of farm hands and coal miners in equal measure. Lower Vobster sits within the triangle formed by the villages of Frome, Midsomer Norton and Shepton Mallet, easily accessible to Bristol and a gateway to Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. Set in rolling Somerset countryside, the local stone building faces south towards the Mells River.

Extensive car park, restful and tranquil, the Inn is perfectly situated to visit Bath, Wells, Glastonbury and Longlete, all just 20 minutes away by car. Modern and comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi, exceptional dinning with the food receiving two AA Rosettes since 2012. Each Modern room has en suite facilities, individually decorated, flat screen TV’s, tea and coffee making facilities with homemade cookies. The Bar and dining area are bright and spacious and full of interesting collectables. The Bar is well stocked as is the Cellar with a selection of local Beers and Ciders as well as European and New World wines.
