Nice Place shame about the shower!

This is an attractive place to stay with a the Railway connection making it slightly different from the norm.

The rooms are in need of refurbishment which was confirmed as planned for early 2016 by a member of staff. I would hope that they provide sufficient water pressure in the showers during this refurb as they currently are not useable.

A good place to stay

We spent 2 nights here and would recommend it for great food, pleasant , helpful staff and an interesting and unusual place to stay.If you are a railway enthusiast you will love all the old railway paraphernalia.

There are parts that require some tlc but felt the price and convenience of this hotel outweighed the small faults. Would definitely stay here again. My Husband has breathing and walking problems and I didn't realize until it was too late to change that there are 20 stairs and no lift or porter . The stairs are wide with a landing halfway and the banisters are sturdy. He did manage ok but just be aware of this when thinking of booking.
