A semi last minute trip to the lake district.
I went through a lot of sites and saw this one. It really lives up to its reviews. The staff were friendly and the dogs were lovely. A fantastic place for beginner hikers and an absolutely beautiful view from the four poster bed. She was happy with it so this place was a win.
Very relaxed atmosphere and lovely easy walks near by.
We had a room which had the most wonderful views of the landscape and lake. The hotel itself is a beautiful building with wood paneled interior walls. Although the hotel is not located in a town there is an eating establishment across the road if you want a change but the hotel food is excellent and a good choice anyway!. Within the hotel there are a variety of board games as well as snooker/pool to keep you occupied as an alternative to outdoor activities. Next time I will make sure we plan to stay longer. The owner and staff were very attentive and excellent hosts.
