Good Location and value
For a hotel close to the Central Business District of Brisbane the Metro Tower Mill is excellent value. It is located within walking distance of the railway station with a fast connection to the airport. The hotel sits at the top of a hill so the views are nice, but walking up the hill from Brisbane's business district can be tiring.
Immediately in front of the hotel is a nice park with an historic windmill. Nearby are several cafes, while the hotel restaurant is pretty basic with TV playing, and fruit machines. The night I stayed was quiz night which livened it up a bit. The food is 'pub grub' quality.
The hotel is circular and each room has a narrow balcony which is pleasant to sit on if you have a view of the park.
For the price I would say it is excellent value, and the location is hard to beat.

Solid - Delivered on expectations
This was a good priced room within easy walking distance to Central Station (where I caught the early train to to the airport). An older hotel that has been renovated to provide an acceptable level of comfort.
