Excellent accommodation and Good Value
The hotel staff are polite, accommodating and welcoming.
The hotel is in an excellent location and I recommend it to all.
hotel isabella (was moved from hotel bolivar)
We were told upon arrival at hotel bolivar that due to a flood earlier that day we would be moved to a sister hotel, the princess isabella.
The man at front desk at the Bolivar was extremely unsympathetic and was rather brusque which was really upsetting as this trip had been planned for months and was a surprise 50th for my husband. HOWEVER, the staff at the isabella could not have been more different - they were fantastic. The hotel, although a little further out of Rome centre than we wanted was lovely, the rooms exceptionally clean and immaculate. (Please note my ratings are on the isabella NOT the Bolivar). We were easily able to walk to the Trevi, Pantheon and Colessem, and getting to the Vatican was easy on the metro.
All in all I would highly recommend the hotel princess isabella and would love to go back there, the hotel was lovely and the staff absolutely brilliant.
Little Gem! Fantastic location
Great little hotel great location but nicely tucked away so not noisy.
Great safe parking and amazing friendly staff. Breakfast not to our taste but wasn't bad food just not a great choice. Would recommend
Having traveled a lot especially in Italy, I was thrilled to find this hotel.
The room was beautiful and big. The bathroom was well appointed and had the most water pressure of any hotel I've stayed in.
Angelo and Peter were wonderful and gave us terrific recommendations for dinner. They also arranged for a car to take us to the airport early on our departure day.
The hotel is very close to Piazza Venezia yet it was still quiet. I will definitely be back!
Charming, authentic and incredibly central
We were pleasantly surprised by the quaint charm and easiness of the whole experience of staying here.
We paid the extra €20 for a park and our car was directly below our window. The spare bed for our 11 year old was very comfortable as was our room. Quietly opulent, the room and bathroom were pristine and the linen was of high quality. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful with a variety of English and European choices including cooked eggs, bacon and sausages. The concierge was extremely helpful with local information regarding restaurants and sightseeing and have printed maps of the highlights that they will talk you through. With all this to offer, for us the highlight of this hotel is that it is in the heart of Rome within easy walking distance to everywhere. We will be back. Tony & Louise Benson, Manchester, UK
Long weekend in Rome
Great hotel in a central location.
Nice and quite off the main road. Friendly and helpful staff. Would use again.
Dark hotel room
We were in an un-renovated room and so it was dark wood and lighting was inadequate.
The central location by the Rome Forum was excellent as we could walk everywhere but on balance the room was a disappointment.. I've noticed that rooms booked by a third party are never the best allocation. The breakfast was average.
A good central hotel
Our stay was comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The room itself was initially a little disappointing, but then considering we're not spending all day in it, we decided not to care so much about it. The air conditioning was alright, if you leave it on long enough, and our little terrace outside was nice. There's no kettle in the room, nor are there ironing facilities anywhere in the hotel, so pack your shirts and dresses carefully!
