Reviews - Love & Art in Rome

Via Bixio, 80 , Roma, 00185
We are here to change the way you think about bed and breakfast!

Do you know what the Romans often do in their free time? They usually go out for a walk or for a drink to Piazza di Spagna, the Coliseum or Trastevere, where ancient art and culture are still palpably present.
Love & Art in Rome is a lovely and family-run alternative to an impersonal hotel in the centre of Rome, a different way to think about your stay in Rome.

A lovely apartment in the heart of Rome, in the historical Esquilino neighbourhood, close to the basilicas of Santa Maria Maggiore, San Giovanni in Laterano and Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, and a ten-minute walk from the Coliseum and Termini railway station. The Italian art is also always on show as part of the owners’ ongoing art exhibition project!

Our aim is to make our guests feel like they are in an art gallery!

We have two double/twin rooms and a family room which accommodates up to 3 people.

We guarantee that you will always have:

- a comfortable room with en-suite bathroom and daily housekeeping
- free wireless internet connection
- free left luggage service
- your own set of keys for complete independence
- holiday ideas, advice and suggestions to help you do as the romans do
- good transport links to all the best sites, museums and galleries in Rome
- an ongoing art exhibition project promoting young Italian artists

Self Service Breakfast included

Love & Art in Rome is on the third floor (No lift) Our staff are available to help you with your luggage.

We are a family, we know how to make you feel at home!

Breakfast
1. The city tax was increased after my booking. I was not informed before arrival to Rome that I have to pay more. It was surprise, but not nice.
2. The breakfast is available in the kitchen one day before. So the food planned to be the breakfast on Tuesday morning is waiting in the kitchen on Monday evening. Hotel says you can eat it whenever you want, so people from other rooms can eat everything or almost everything in the evening and you'll have nothing for the breakfast the next day. There was too little food for 7 guests.

Great for what we needed it for
The accommadation was great for what we needed it for. Easily accessible to the tube to various landmarks. The ladyies who run the guesthouse arent there but come and change/make beds daily. They top up the breakfast tray daily and are happy to be contacted with any queries.

Nice place
It is on the fifth floor and there's no lift, so quite a climb with a suitcase. The host is lovely though.
The room is spacious and tidy.
There wasn't enough toilet paper, we had to go and buy our own, the breakfast provided for self service was not abundant in selection or quantity.
Neighbourhood is a little rough, wouldn't want to go at it alone.

Great for roaming Rome
Well connected by metro, and by foot, this is a very comfortable accommodation , although you have to be reasonably fit to get to it as it is on the fourth floor and there is no lift. Quiet air conditioning is a bonus, as is the fast wifi. The room is serviced daily, but apart from checking in, you will not see the host who lives elsewhere . All in all, this represents excellent value and good location to explore the wonders of Rome.

Clean and friendly
Me and my girlfriend stayed at Rome with Love for 3 nights. The room was big and had a nice bathroom with shower. It was very clean and the owner was very friendly and helpful. It is also very close to the metro station and colosseum. Would stay here again.

Bien
Bien situé si on préfère être dans un quartier populaire plutôt que dans le quartier historique, du coup moins cher. Proche de tout transport grace à la localisation près de la gare, et notamment des navettes pour l'aéroport !
Très propre
