Good, basic room.
Accommodation was basic but clean and warm. Good location - 15 mins walk from metro station. Also near supermarket and a few cafés.
Although website says check in at 12, when we arrived at 12 we were told that the room wouldn't a ready until 1 which was annoying. Otherwise no problems at all.

Horrible Experience
There are no positives about this hotel. We arrived at the hotel late afternoon and had to climb 4 floors or stairs in the dark as no light switch was obvious. When we arrived at the hotel keys were shoved into our hands and that was that. No information was given about the hotel. When we entered the room I was devastated. The room was terrible. Broken tiles on the floor, thin mattress and pillows, broken curtain rail and mould on the bathroom wall. The major thing wrong with the room was that they still had old style plugs so we couldn't charge anything or use any of our electronics even though we had bought an eu adaptor this did not fit. After getting over the state of the room we went out for dinner and returned at a not too late time of 10pm. To our surprise the main door to the building was shut and locked! As the hotel had given us no information we had no idea this was going to happen and no idea of how to get in as the hotel is meant to be 24 hours. Finally we found a number on the wall but this had been disconnected. We then found a small buzzer button and this let us in! But it wasn't at all obvious. At night the walls are so thin that you can hear everything so sleep is hard to come by. Avoid this hotel at all costs if you want to have a pleasant stay. Milan is a beautiful city but this is not the place to stay.

Just what we wanted!
We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Brasil! Perfect central location, right in front of a bus stop to the centre and a very friendly hotel manager. Also very close to a large Carrefour. Free wifi, the standard of cleanliness was impeccable and breakfast was a good deal for €3. Despite complaints about a packaged breakfast, this is all the law allows in such hotels. We would recommend this hotel to any travellers going to Milan.

The hotel was clean and had all the facilities you would need whilst there. The breakfast was rather basic - ceral coffee and croissants but enough to put you on untill dinner providing your not too fussy!
The hotel staff were helpful and friendly we had no problems with the language barrier too as they spoke exellent english. Id definitley recommend this hotel to back packers and couples who want a quick get away. Id definatley stay there again. Great value for money- if your looking for a reasonable hotel with reasonable prices look no further!
