Reviews - Hotel La Ville

Via Claudio Monteverdi 15 , Catania, 95131
Hotel “La Ville” is a renewed mansion located in the city center very close to the railway station and the trade-fair “Le Ciminiere”, and only a few steps away from Via Etnea and the main shopping streets in town
Refinement of details and richness of old-style furniture give the guests a lovely sensation of luxury and relax, where the excellent service and guest satisfaction are the main purposes of management.
The 14 rooms ( 4 of which with kitchenette suggested for longer stays ) perfectly sound-proofed as is the rest of hotel are spacious and very confortable to live, equipped with all those services necessary to make the stay enjoyable: centralized air conditioning, satellite Tv, free Internet connection, direct dial telephone, mini bar, room-safe, all with bath and hairdrier. Buffet breakfast, bar and meeting hall available for all guests.
The professional team of friendly staff guarantees a personalised service. They will be delighted to organise transfers to the beach and Mount Etna.

Very comfortable large room, good bed, great bathroom, helpful staff, free use of pc [signal average] in lobby, nice fresh breakfast in large elegant dining room. If this hotel was in Florence it would be 200euros a night but, unfortunately, that's the problem; it's location near the station doesn't hide the fact that the area is rough; in fact all of Catania we found very poorly neglected, over populated and, we felt, unsafe at night; I would not go to Catania again at any price but if you have to, I would certainly recommend this elegant hotel - once you're inside.
