About the hotel
Newton Hall is a part timbered 16th Century country house on a family run, 140 acres stock farm, situated amongst some of the most picturesque scenery in Cheshire. Chester is about ten minutes drive from the farm, and Tattenhall village centre is within a mile, where a wide selection of pubs, bistros and restaurants are available. Both Beeston and Peckforton Castles are easily visible from the farm, as are the Welsh mountains and the Bickerton Hills.
Please Note Check In 16:00, Check Out 10:00. unless prior arrangemant has been made. Plenty of parking for guests. Stables and grazing available for you to bring your own horse and enjoy a riding holiday along the Bishop Bennet Way. There are also plenty of footpaths in the nearby Peckforton Hills for you to explore The Sandstone Trail. If you prefer a flatter walk enjoy a walk along the towpath of the Shropshire Union Canal which is less than 1 mile from the farm. Pets are wecome for a small extra charge. Newton Hall is very quiet and peaceful although we do have some animals. These include 3 of our own horses, Ronnie , Bella and Embassey , who is now retired ,as well as 7 other horses and ponies at livery. We also have 2 pet Ryeland sheep and 8 hens including 6 Silver Sussex . Our latest arrivals are two kittens which just appeared! But our most importent pet is Belle our very friendly Labrador/Spaniel cross who loves to meet our guests. On the farm we rear up to 150 holstein heifers for our neighbours ,after giving up milk production 10 years ago. We are very accessible for Chester Races, Carden Park Golf and Oulton Park. The City of Chester is a definate must with 'The Rows' tiered shops, The Roman Walls and Ampitheatre and Cathedral. For stays after January 1st 2014 we are offering reduced rates for 2 or more nights!

100% would recommend it to a friend
We stayed for 2 nights, was made to feel very welcome.
Lovely owners and very attentive. Room was equipped well, although WiFi wasn't too good because of thickness of walks. Didn't deter us from having a nice stay though. Location was beautiful and quiet. Well worth the money and would stay again if in the area.
