4Self Classified Bed and Breakfast Ratings explained
Fernside Cottage, Templeton Bridge, , Tiverton, EX16 8BP
Set in the beautiful rural mid-Devon it is a cob, thatched cottage dating back to the 17th Century. Whether you are looking for a relaxing rural break or a stop-off on the way to more distant parts of the South West Fernside is ideal. Ian and Linda, the proprietors of Fernside Cottage Bed & Breakfast, are dedicated to your comfort and will do their best to ensure you have a pleasurable stay. Fernside is located on the edge of the hamlet of Templeton Bridge, just 14 miles from junction 27 of the M5. There is good access to both North and South Devon. Two miles from Fernside, along attractive country roads, is the North Devon link road leading to the north coast with spectacular sandy beaches, perfect for bathing and surfing. 19 miles to the south is the Cathedral city of Exeter with its international airport. Exmoor and Dartmoor National parks are roughly equidistant from Fernside with beautiful scenery and many opportunities for walking, riding and fishing. The guest rooms are spacious, comfortably furnished to a high quality and benefit from roomy en-suite bathrooms. They have 32” flat screen TVs, hospitality trays, toiletries, bathrobes and hair dryer. The rooms take their names from Devon north coast seaside towns.

Scenic and relaxing stay
There are probably not sufficient superlatives that I know to do this gem of a B&B justice. Every need catered for wonderfully.

Fabulous hospitality, wonderful accomodation and magnificent food
From the first welcome at the door through to showing us around and then the wonderful nights sleep we thought it just couldn't get better. We were proved wrong when we went down to breakfast, home made Granola cereal, freshly laid eggs and local bacon and sausages all beautifully cooked presented and served just fantastic!
