4Self Classified Bed and Breakfast Ratings explained
Bosvean House, Bush, , Bude, EX23 9JZ
Bosvean House is furnished the house with French and English vintage furniture. The comfortable guest lounge has soft, relaxing settees and a log-burner for those chilly winter nights. The rooms all have tea/coffee making facilities with welcome treats and bathroom extras. You morning wake-up call will be the sounds of the local birds and lambs calling. The views are stunning with three of the bedrooms looking out over open countryside, the fourth overlooking the bridleway. Bude and Widemouth Bay are both within a few miles and offer fantastic beaches, plus access to the coastal footpath. Both are popular with families and surfers and provide excellent facilities (including tuition, hiring of equipment and wetsuits). Other beaches within easy reach are Crackington Haven, Trebarwith, Polzeath, Newquay and Daymer Bay. About 20 miles to the south lies Rough Tor, one of the highest points on Bodmin Moor. Steeped in legend and full of archaeological heritage, the moor delivers rugged beauty and breath-taking walks. Daphne Du Maurier's Jamaica Inn lies less than 25 miles. Exmoor lies 30 minutes to the north. Dartmoor lies less than 30 minutes away to the south east. During Winter we offer weekend breaks for four people with five-course candle-lit dinners and nights by the log fire! A short walk along the bridleway takes you into Stratton with its famous "Tree Inn" restaurant and bar. If you prefer traditional Cornish and Devon ales, try The Kings Arms in Stratton. Stratton is less than 2 miles distance by road. The fantastic Bude beaches can be reached within 5 minutes - only 2 miles away. We know you will enjoy your stay with us at Bosvean House

Beware evening meal facilities ( local pub,a good 5 minutes drive away) and no credit cards taken. Had to go and get cash in local supermarket after picking up bill on hall table before trekking off to evening meal.breakfast exceptional , just get payment methods sorted.

A very pleasant, quiet stay.
Two very nice hosts in Bill and Ann and a lovely venue. The only advice I think I should give is that you keep some cash on you to pay your bill as there is no facility for card payment, or be prepared to drive into Bude to visit a cashpoint.

what the doctor ordered
Just what the Doctor ordered. The breakfast was excellent, service friendly and Anne and Bill lovely hosts. The room was a large with a view of the fields , excellent size on -suite. Would thoroughly recommend as an ideal stop over if exploring the North Coast of Cornwall. Will certainly be going back again for another chilled weekend.

1st Class
What a little gem this place is. The standard was exceptional, the room was better than a lot of hotels I have stayed in and the setting was lovely and very peaceful. The host and hostess were so friendly it was like staying with friends.
Thoroughly recommend it and will go back if ever in the area again.

THE best B & B in Cornwall without a doubt
This is, without doubt, the best B & B we have ever stayed at. The hosts, Ann and Bill, are really helpful and friendly, rooms are nice size and extremely well presented and breakfast is superb.
Location is on a hill outside Bude and entrance is up a bumpy lane so take care when driving up. The sign is quite small and easily missed on the A39. Great location for visiting all of Cornwall and north Devon.
You simply cannot go wrong here.
