Brilliant place to stay.
Rob and Sue make you so welcome. My room was perfect for my stay. Breakfast in the morning was superb. The house is well within walking distance of local eateries etc. for an evenings entertainment. I'll definitely stay here again..
Amazing Barbican Reach
Rob And Sue were such friendly and accommodating people, nothing was too much trouble.
I was greeted by my first name on arrival by Rob which was lovely, and he told us of some great places to eat and places to visit. Rob also did me a favour by mending a pair of my shoes for me which I really appreciated. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed. Our room was the small attic room which although a little small and only partial en-suite was okay for us and this was made clear to us by Rob over the telephone so we understood this. Breakfast was great and Rob had some of his own specials on the menu which were amazing. The Barbican Reach is on a lovely picturesque street and is excellently located for the Barbican and Hoe as only a couple of mins walk to each and the town centre only approx 5 mins walk.
I would definitely return and recommend The Barbican Reach to family and friends .
ONE NIGHT STAND
The 'Loft Room' was as described .
Good view of the Plymouth Gin Distillery :) . 'Compact' and comfortable room. Slightly odd with the shower at the end of the bed. Excellent hosts and breakfast with a local twist !.
Best B&B in Plymouth
Rob and Sue are fantastic.
They make you feel so welcome. We had an wonderful evening there and would gladly recommend this little gem to anyone wanting a night out in Plymouth without the hassle of having to organise taxis or worse having to drive home after a quality night out with friends. Will we be back definitely.
Excellent customer service, location and comfortable bed.
Great recommendations for evening food too.
Best b&b I've stayed at in a long time!
Brilliant location lovely owners and room was spotless.
Loved the little extra thoughts out into the room like a mini fan and a full length mirror. Will definitely be staying there again.
Very welcoming kind host and hostess.
Barbican Reach Guest House
Booked for one night stay for university open day.
Choose it based on price and reviews of similar properties in price range and it was as described. We had attic room which was bright and cosy and had good view over city. The décor throughout the property looked all freshly painted and was immaculate - having a horror of teenage stays in seaside B & B's with ex forces issue wardrobes and beds and usually going for 'chain accommodation' - this was lovely. The owner was friendly and advised us on a walk from the Hoe to the harbour to find pubs/restaurants. As it was a lovely warm evening we enjoyed the walk and sat outside to eat at The Ship right on the harbour. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order hammy eggy cheesy (very filling) and scrambled egg on toast for my daughter.
A Little Gem
Rob and Sue were perfect hosts and very helpful.
Although our room was small it had everything needed and was wonderfully presented. Robs "Raft" dishes for breakfast are recommended. We would be happy to return one day.
