The Woolacombe Bay Hotel
Room was small and cramped but overall we did enjoy our break at the hotel.
Great hotel- shame about the pool being shut.
We booked this hotel specifically on it's spa facilities- we really needed a short break and the hotel room and hotel were perfect.
However, after booking in treatments there were signs all over the hotel saying the pool was shut. Really gutting considering we're being swimmers. With no discount or prior warning, it was pretty disappointing. The rest of the stay was great.
Great hotel, but our room was functional, I can't help but think with just a little extra effort they could make every room as good as sea facing ones, then they would have minimum good for all categories.
Also, we were poorly advised by hotel staff well in advance of stay. They said it would be okay to book treatments when staying. We arrived to book treatments and were told they are fully booked, not treatments available, of course if the hotel had said there was a chance of this we would not have left it. - this was very disappointing. Don't get caught out.
Only stayed for four nights but really enjoyed ourselves.
The staff were excellent, very polite and friendly. Will definitely be back.
A mixed experience
For the money and from the website we were expecting a prestigious and stylish hotel for a private celebration.
Instead we found we were surrounded by noisy families with push chairs, from breakfast time to dinner in both dining rooms and other areas apart from one "Adults only" room.
There didn't appear to be any management presence in the public areas, front of house or dining rooms. The staff on the ground were pleasant and efficient., if somewhat distant. No doubt this is an ideal hotel for families with all its leisure facilities, but not for older couples looking for a special venue. Sadly, for us, it was lacking in the anticipated style.
Lovely hotel with excellent facillities
Had an overnight stay and found the facilities to be excellent.
Will book again. Staff were friendly and professional. Food was good, probably the Chilli I have ever ate (and I have been to Mexico a few times!!!!).
Short break but felt it was a real treat
Great view from our room.Really enjoyed the ocean view.
Staff were friendly and welcoming!
Great stay but room a little small
This hotel is lovely with great amenities such as tennis, sauna, hot tub, pitch and putt etc included in the cost.
The staff were excellent and the breakfast was great.
The room was quite small for the money and the heated pool isn't heated all year round so it was too cold for us to use which was a shame as we had really looked forward to using it.
However it is a great hotel and I would recommend it.
Five star facilities - our room in need of refurb.
Lovely hotel and staff.
Every facility, excellent cuisine. Our room (107) on the street side was stuffy with windows closed, and noisy and no privacy with curtains and windows open. The mattress was very tired and bath difficult. In need of a refurb really with aircon and new bath fittings. The downstairs lounges are an excellent and rare treat.
Another great stay
Excellent stay, with the food and level of service being outstanding.
Woolacombe and the Woolacombe Bay Hotel are a must for us, especially when the weather is so good.
