underground overground

All was well, didn't buy any food and drink in the actual hotel so not in a position to comment, if you are going to visit Wookey Hole itself you need to know it is cheaper to go online in your room to get tickets beforehand then buying them at the gate a few hundred metres away.

Great holiday.

Stayed on business - quiet, clean and free wifi

Stay quite often at Wookey Hotel, probably 6-8 times per year.

The location is quiet, has free parking right outside the hotel and free wifi is a bonus. Apart from a few occasions of the fire alarm going off early in the morning (false alarms) my stays have been very comfortable. Not tried the food / breakfast but the menus look pretty reasonable. Couple a tips:

- Mobile networks (o2) can be quite weak from inside the hotel. This is purely down to valley which the hotel sits in. Top floor seems to generally be better to get a signal (no 3g/4g), but wifi makes up for this. - Rooms at the front of the hotel are lighter and have a better view.

Range of food

The restaurant was quite expensive and had very little vegetarian choice.

A wetherspoons is a 10 minute 10 drive towards Wells centre which offered a greater choice of menu and value for money. The rooms are large but basic, however very clean and tidy. Expected the hotel to be a lot more 'special' considering it is based on the Wookey Hole site. It was a good base hotel for visiting the local area.

Great hotel and a great location

Hotel was in a remote location, opposite wookey hole which was perfect for us because we wanted to visit the cave.

One night in Wookey

This is a lovely clean hotel.

The staff were very friendly and informative. We booked for bed and breakfast and was able to book a table for evening meal. Both meals were delicious, and the evening meal was reasonably priced.
