Poor value for money

This hotel tries to be what, in our experience, it is not.

Only offered a room only booking. Our room was compact and had very little storage space for clothes, etc. Just a couple of shelves, two small drawers in the bedside unit plus a medium hanging space. Once we had opened the curtains and windows in our room, builders were outside our window shovelling cement when we arrived. No warning was given to us about this prior to our arrival. On complaining we were offered another room but this would have been no better. The presence of builders had a negative impact on the rooms ambience and our privacy

The food was only average. We could not get a table in the bar to eat so had to eat in the restaurant, using the a la carte menu. Some other hotel residents ate in the restaurant using the bar menu. We were not given this option. Breakfast was poor. The menu seemed generous but what arrived was small and not well prepared. One meal had to go back as it was not cooked properly. Breakfast was charged as an extra

The hotel would have fared better in our review had they been proactive with issues - building and booking for bar meals, rather than belatedly reactive

Fab break

The Luttrell Arms was a excellent choice for a break, the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, the bar and restaurant provided excellent service.

Will definitely be back again.

A fantastic place to stay!

The hotel was fantastic, steeped in history and set in an idyllic Medieval village.

Our four poster room was just amazing and very romantic - perfect for a romantic short break. Friendly, hardworking staff and superb food made this a perfect get-away and my husband and I are planning a return visit!

Warm and welcoming

From the moment we entered the Hotel from the pouring rain, we were warm and comfortable in every way.

Our dog, Henry, was looked after and they were very kind to his needs as well as ours.
