4Self Classified Bed and Breakfast Ratings explained
15 Higher Street, , , Dartmouth, TQ6 9RB
The Cherubs Nest is a pretty Grade 2 listed merchant's house situated in the heart of Dartmouth, awarded an AA 4 Star Rating, Cherubs Nest is the ideal retreat for a relaxing break. Situated in the heart of the town, a level walk to the river, boat float and shops, at night it is the ideal spot to explore the abundance of good quality pubs and restaurants that Dartmouth has to offer. The beauty of the River Dart is recognised throughout the world, you can enjoy a cruise on the river steamer to Totnes when the tides are right, or around the harbour for a shorter trip. Full of character, the individually decorated bedrooms vary in size, but all are attractive and well-equipped. Some of the rooms have kingsize beds, if you would like breakfast on a tray in your room or you would like us to organise flowers or champagne in your room, we would be happy to do this on your behalf, if we have prior notice. A choice of breakfasts are served in our cosy dining room in the morning, where guests will find an extensive menu comprising of Fully cooked breakfast options, to cereals, fruit and juices. Dartmouth is a great place to base yourself and explore the surrounding areas, Dartmoor National Park is just 40 minutes drive away and there are many places to visit for families and couples alike, early visitors can enjoy the peace of Spring walks along the coast path and inland villages, or around the Dart. Perhaps take the small ferry to Dittisham, have lunch and walk back along the 'Dart Valley Trail' or hire a little boat and explore the river independently. Alternatively, go for a half-day sea fishing trip or try sailing with one of the sailing schools. We look forward to welcoming you to The Cherub's Nest, ideal for a relaxing retreat.

Very lovely b&b
This b&b suited our needs very well as it has a wonderful central location and is a lovely building. The room we had was the smallest but was fine for us as we only used it for sleeping so didn't need anything grander. The breakfast was everything you would want and a good standard. The owners were very nice and friendly. The only downside might be the parking but this is the same anywhere in Dartmouth. Next door is the Cherub Inn which is now my favourite pub as it is the oldest building in Dartmouth and has six well kept real ales and lovely food at very reasonable prices. I would definitely stay at Cherubs Nest again.

Beverley. And Geoff were excellent hosts and kindly gave my friend and. I two rooms which were very comfortable. The breakfast was first class and with the keys provided we were able to go and come as we pleased. We asked if we could come back in the afternoon for a rest and this was agreed with no hesitation. Altogether an excellent short break.

OK B & B but needs tlc
The room shown on the web site looked spacious and very good, however we had a twin bedded
room which was quite small with a tiny ensuite. Parking was difficult but we were offered use of
the owner's garage at a cost of £3.00 per day which was very kind of him.
Although we enjoyed our stay, wish we had booked the larger room but to be honest, we do
not think it warrants an AA 4 star rating.

smallest 4 star room we have ever stayed in. used room service each morning as we did not fancy the shared large table in the dining room. Awkward car parking but very central for shops and restaurants. Let us into room early but a bit noisy if you want an afternoon siesta.
