Not my first stay here at this delightfull victorian property.
There are a lot of places to stay in the area some better and cheaper but a few are more expensive and not so charming
I was sharing the family room with my 22 year old son on our way back from Lundy.
The Strathmore is a 15 minute stroll from the town and turned out to be a peaceful retreat from the Victorian week celebrations. Upon our arrival we had a lovely welcome from Heather who throughout our stay could not have been more helpful. Our room was excellent - well equipped and very comfortable and with a lovely bay window. We slept like logs. Breakfast was very good. I would certainly recommend the Strathmore if you want to be well looked after, get value for money and appreciate peace and quiet. There's even parking.
