Great unplanned weekend stay!
We stumbled across this little gem by accident, I was looking for somewhere to stay so I could rediscover my birth town of Bradford on Avon whilst we were passing.
The welcome was really genuine and the lady at reception made us feel really special even searching for the hospital we were hoping to visit. When we told her why we were visiting she made sure we had a really nice room in the old coach house. The receptionist recommended the hotel restaurant which is where we ate that night, again the welcome was very professional and the food and wine (from their own Vin-yard) was very well presented and tasty. Our room was lovely looking over the Vin-yard, not particularly to our taste but very in-keeping with the location and hotel style. We had such a good stay we got up and immediately booked a second night. Breakfast was buffet style which I wouldn't have expected at this hotel but no complaints the restaurant staff were very attentive and were happy to cook to order fried eggs for me. My only gripe would be that like a few other comments my check-out was silent. No-body asked if we had enjoyed our stay or if everything was to our satisfaction (a different lady to the one who checked us in) which is a shame because I couldn't wait to tell them how great our stay was it seemed as if it didn't matter as long as I knew my pin number. Overall a great (unplanned) weekend, we would certainly recommend!
Best Western Leigh Park Hotel Bath
Overall a reasonable hotel.
The room (in the coach house) was clean and tidy, warm and had a comfortable bed. It had a well fitted bathroom and provided adequate accommodation at a much cheaper rate than we could find in Bath, just 15 minutes away. On the downside, the music in reception seemed out of place and a little loud. Not what we were expecting from the grand look of the building as we parked the car. We had a few drinks in the deserted bar and the food was perfectly reasonable. We decided against eating in the restaurant given the lack of patrons and poor trip adviser rating. Overall, minor problems for a hotel which could be much more but was generally palatable for under £90.
