They are doing up the rooms at the Greyhound and I was one of the first to use 'mine'.
It was virtually pristine but lacked several necessities, such as a chair, soap tray and slipmat, details which I trust will be easily rectified. Otherwise very comfortable. The food was good standard pub fare; however, I did feel it was expensive that one had to pay an extra £10 for breakfast.
The twin beds in our room were very narrow (2ft 6in) and our sleep was disrupted when my elderly friend fell out during the night, hurting his elbow on the wardrobe, and it bled profusely.
In the morning, the owners were very helpful and apologetic, providing a dressing and lots of tea. I would also add that the room was affected by noise from a kitchen cooling unit switching on and off.
