Rural Devon farmhouse tranquility
This is a traditional farmhouse on a working farm in a very lovely position.
Our room was nicely decorated and well equiped, with plenty of space for clothes etc. Downstairs, as well as the breakfast room, was a lounge, decorated with many family-made embroideries. Outside was a well-tended garden, and a sunny table, just the place to relax on a sunny day. Though it feels as if deep in the country, the location is not far from the nearest village and only about 15 mins by car from Sidmouth. The excellent and generous full english breakfast set us up well for the day. Our hosts were friendly, pleasant and efficient. All-in-all a good week-end.
We greatly enjoyed our stay.
It fully lived up to and exceeded our expectations. It is in a lovely part of the country and the owners were friendly and informative. We hope to go there again soon. It was a very happy experience.
