Happy and pleasant stay
Nice and enjoyable stay.
Room was big and clean with lovely sea views. Staff was warm and welcoming and accommodated to all of our needs. The only down points where the parking off site, which couldn't be helped. The breakfast could be improved on quality but we never went hungry. The other downfall was we booked this hotel over others for the indoor swimming pool but when we arrived realised it was shut due to refurbishments but nowhere on website stated this. This hotel is a great place to book for a short stay as location can't be beaten for central amenities
The hotel is in a prime spot, handy for shops, harbour, sea front.
I am a 70 yr old female travelling on my own and when I arrived I would have thought the reception could have been warmer, I was put on the fourth floor, which is on two levels and had to drag my case up a flight of stairs, the room was OK but nothing to write home about, it was a double room no bath only a shower, there was one small wardrobe not enough if 2 people were staying for a week. When I went down to breakfast there was no one to tell you were to sit, so I found a table then 3 people came in and said it was their table so had to move, quite embarrassing, so I was put at a table and told that would be mine. The following day I went to my allocated table and sat there for at least 20 mins, eventually I went and asked for some service, to which a waiter replied who put you here, I explained the waiter did from the day before but apparently no waiter was told to serve that table, but nobody came over to see why I was sat there so long, nobody apologised, they just bought my breakfast with coffee, I had no milk or sugar and when I left I gave in my key no-one at reception asked me if I had enjoyed my stay or was everything OK, they just took the key and off I went. If It hadn't been so handy for sea front and I had had a car I wouldn't entertain staying there again.
