Holiday Inn BRISTOL CITY CENTRE
5th floor, very spacious and bright. Full height windows overlooking Bristol centre. Great views. Modern bathroom with very good shower. The NCP car park adjacent to the hotel was so convenient and good value at £15 for 24 hrs+.
Nice hotel, close to the bus station, staff friendly, check in speedy.
Room was comfortable. Had an evening meal in the restaurant on the first night which was very tasty. Only downside was the concierge service on our last day, we asked about buses to the airport and were told every 20 minutes past the hour and it cost £11 - in actual fact the bus left every 15 minutes and cost £7. We also asked about getting to the Clifton Suspension Bridge but she couldn't tell us, even looking on the tourist map of the city she didn't know where it was, we found our own way there with the help of a street cleaner and bus driver. Would suggest the hotel NOT put someone of foreign extraction on the concierge desk if they do not know the area. Apart from this, the hotel is in a good spot close to the shopping centres and is a nice hotel if a little pricey.
