My favourite B&B ever!
Jane and John are wonderful hosts, they helped out with a problem I had without batting an eyelid and with an ease that belied how much succour they gave.
Broadhayes is lovely, light and airy with beautiful views over their garden, which is laid out with imagination and full of gorgeous plants/flowers, then on to the hills beyond. We had a room that offered these views even while lying in bed with our cup of tea.
The breakfasts were delicious, with fresh eggs from their hens and luscious, home-made jams. They also offer peanut butter for those who prefer savoury to sweet. I particularly liked the fact that I did not have to choose my breakfast, Jane did a different one each day with imagination and flair, and it was skilfully executed; for example, one day we had Eggs Benedict, which was absolutely delicious. I am returning next year for sure!
What a gem!
Jane and John made us so welcome to their beautiful home.
We had a great room overlooking the garden, with our own wet room. Breakfast was first class. Nothing was too much trouble for Jane. Beautiful dining room, with lots of choice on the menu. Even a fridge for guests' use. The garden was lovely and we enjoyed making friends with the 2 dogs. Just down the lane was The Coppa Dolla pub - one of the best we have found. A holiday to remember.
