Lovely, quiet B&B
Positives The downstairs decor is simply gorgeous and we were made to feel very welcome, a huge difference from the glossiness of larger chain hotels.
It's a shame our stay wasn't longer so we could enjoy the accommodation a bit more. The breakfast was high quality with plenty of choice both cooked and cold buffet with some local produce. Easy access to Exeter St. David's and from the centre of town. 10 mins walk from the uni and about 15-20 into town. Negatives
My girlfriend and I stayed in the family room which was at the top of the building. This room is not very big and L shaped. at full occupancy (2 adults, 2 children) it would feel very cramped. There is not really enough room for the sofa bed if I am honest. Also, the extra bed means there is just a 1' gap between the edge of the double bed and the bathroom door.
Lovely Little Place
What a lovely little place to stay, it's a short distance from the town centre and the shops with fast access to the coast at Topsham not far away.
The guest house is small and the room I stayed in was tiny, but everything is well looked after and clean. The receptionist very helpful when I arrived and showed me where to park at the back, yes its a tiny car park, but there is one and its free, so a real bonus. The staff at breakfast were a bit stressed out but the food was ok and they even had gluten free bread for toast. There were no noisy guests or banging doors, so very quiet at night, easy to get a good night's sleep. Its not an upmarket place, its homely and comfortable with friendly staff. Add that to the bargain price per night and its a really good deal.
