Originally built as a private home this former manor house is set within the glorious grounds of Highdown Gardens. There are 16 ensuite luxury rooms with free WI-Fi access, satellite TV, tea & coffee making facilities and hairdryer. There is a large traditional restaurant with a popular carvery and an á la carte menu or guests can relax in the comfy lounge and bar. Free car parking is available on-site.

This a great place to stay whether its for business or pleasure. Located just outside Worthing it is easily accessible from the A27 and A259. Shoreham Airport, Worthing, Littlehampton and Brighton are close by whilst Fontwell Race course is 12miles and Goodwood being 17miles.

Overnight stay
Have stayed at the Highdown a number times now and would definitely recommend it. Accommodation is in a separate annex away from the main hotel building so it is usually relatively quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is plenty to choose from the buffet breakfast bar on a Sunday morning.

Disappointing
The hotel was worse than a travelodge or Premier Inn. The decor was dated and not at all like the internet displayed.The walls were paper thin with little or no insulation. Because of three womem in the next room determined to get their voices heard and not listening to who else was speaking until 4am in the morning we were unable to get hardly any sleep. The buffet breakfast was adequate but seemed as if it was laid out at the 8am start time and remained unchanged until the service wasover at 10.am
Overall a very disappointing experience and I would not be staying again

Great stay
A nice small and intimate hotel.
The rooms are in one building and the bar and restaurant are in another.
Both buildings are less than 50 ft apart. Great if you are a light sleeper as you don't here bar and restaurant noise.
2 minute walk to the start of the downs. Would stay here again.

enjoyable stay
We were given a lovely room on the ground floor. While it wasn't very big,it was well furnished and very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and warm.Heating in the roomwas adjustable which was great. Well stocked tea and coffee tray with the addition of biscuits! was very welcome.
Breakfast finishes relatively early at 9am in the week.While it was adequate,with juice,cereal and various hot foods, there was nothing else for those who didn't want cooked breakfast. The addition of croissants or yogurt or fruit would have raised the standard considerably at relatively low cost.

Late Arrival
We arrived late (as expected) on the Sun. night (around 7.45 pm.) and made to feel welcome, even kept the bar open for us (family party of 4 in 3 separate rooms) as min. staff at that time on Sun.
Rooms were all fine and in character of house and ample full English breakfast next morning. Would be happy to stay again, and would have liked to look round the gardens but not time or season on this visit (early Feb.)

Lovely stay
A very nice room in a great location which was very peaceful. The breakfast was self-service and good but not amazing.
