Bliss
We couldn't fault the hotel or the staff. Our room was exceptionally stylish, comfortable and spacious, the breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Parking was also easier here (in Hove) than most parts of Brighton. Wished we were staying longer.

A very welcoming and informative manager and a gorgeous room with a 4 poster bed made for a very relaxing stay at The Claremont.
It is well located within walking distance of the seafront and local restaurants.
A real treat and would definitely recommend to others.

Lovely boutique
OK, starters... my room was a little on the cosy side, but I've lived in double bedrooms that are smaller and it was a well-considered way to maximise the accommodation within a lovely old building. The room was big enough for me, but if you like to spread out you may want one of their larger rooms.
That said. The hotel is a lovely, unique little hotel with nice little touches in the rooms and helpful staff. I was shown to my room and had a couple of the quirks pointed out to me, and was offered recommendations for dinner (if you like Mexican the Los Amigos just down the main street is worth a visit).
Breakfast next to a tastefully decorated Christmas Tree was a pleasant start to the morning - the hotel has deservedly won "Best Breakfast" awards for the last three years.
I'd happily stay back here next time I'm working in town.

Very comfortable B&B
Felt very comfortable with both the staff and the facilities. Pleasant welcome, explained about the parking and restaurants nearby etc. If you are not feeling energetic, very easy and frequent access to central Brighton (North Streeet) by bus (£2 each way) from top of road. Range of freshly cooked options for breakfast.

OK for the price
Only paid £69 through Late Rooms for a single room with breakfast. Room was on the small side, but very nicely done (few bits of peeling paint and damage to the wardrobe aside!). Little jar of sweets and bottle of water are a nice touch.
Shower was jammed on red hot, so that wasn't great, but did manage to fix that afterwards - small shower cubicle didn't realy allow enough room for movement to adjust it whilst in the shower!
