Prince to Pauper
I felt sad for this accommodation which in its first days would have been a lovely place to stay.
It contained good quality fixtures and fittings that have simply been left without care. There is little attention to detail here. A simple scrub of the blinds and a decent carpet shampoo could have made the initial appearance so much better. The broken toilet seat and sockets/lights that don't work are such simple and cheap things to get sorted to make a guest want to return rather than look for alternative accommodation next time.
The Motel Findon
Bed linen felt damp.
Room not serviced after first night, milk, sugar not replenished. therefore unable to have a hot drink
when returning to motel late evening or before departure early am. Unable to plug electric heater in as lead approximately 30" too short. (2nd evening very wet and cold)
Poor accommodation, would not recommend.
Chosen because of location to friends in village.
We're just sent a text to say key was in door and to leave key in box on leaving. New shower and bathroom which was good, but notice on wall to say if ' no hot water have to go next door room where people are staying, to light pilot light' . Pump going in bathroom to supply all other rooms early in the morning. Only one hand and bath towel between two, very well used, would only used on the dog. Bedding well used, like staying in a teenagers room.No room service. Mugs had dribbles down the sides and had to wash before use. Mattress well used an uncomfortable. Dirty and uncomfortable. Friends staying in another room had a very broken loo seat and a couple of the bed slats were broken. Have stayed in many third world countries the and would not expect this in England especially at this price. We stayed for two night having booked for three, but left a day early. Moved on to the New Forest to a pub at the same price with lovely clean room, white bedding, towels and bathroom.m have never complained about accommodation before.
Great location in small quiet village.
Room was just perfect for overnight stay. Would recommend.
The flat has great potential but is in desperate need of maintenance.
The bed is very rickety with a broken tail gate. The toilet seat, towel rail and toilet roll holder were all broken. There was no control for the air conditioning. The carpets need cleaning. The outside light does not work which makes access difficult and the timer on the stairway lights does not allow time to find the door.
Perfect apartment for a couple of nights
The motel is made up of rooms spread up and down a nice quiet street.
My apartment consisted of a living room/kitchen, a large bedroom and a bathroom with a huge bath and a double shower. All of the essential things were included, except an iron which was annoying when I had a particular shirt that I was planning to wear on one of the days. The village where the motel is situated is quite far away from pretty much anywhere, so I had to use a taxi to get into Worthing centre where I was able to get a train or bus to where I needed to be. There are buses that leave from Findon, but they aren't really regular.
The room was upstairs so had plenty of light and was sunny.
There was a lovely large bathroom leading off of it, with a powerful shower. It was good for us as we were out most of the day. We would book again. We liked the individual front doors.
Home from home
i have stayed here twice, spacious rooms , got everything you need , apart from food,
I like coming here because it's comfortable, will be back again hopefully end of next month ,😀
One Night & Two Tired Hikers
Having walked 27 miles over the Downs that day we were not overly discriminating.
However, the room was cold and I was far too tired to fathom the make-shift heating arrangements. The split level arrangement elevates the bed to a perilous proximity with a cross beam. I know this because I almost knocked myself out on it. You will not sleep through the noise of the plumbing if your partner visits the loo, or pours a glass of water in the night. That said, despite being located on a road junction, it was surprisingly quiet. The bed was also comfortable. In summary, the Findon Motel served its purpose, and at the right price.
Just whats needed for our short break, ample space, a bit old and wornout in places.
A few cobwebs around. Do take your own towels as theirs are very small and a bit tatty. A bit chilly and could do with a larger duvet. Will use it again and recommend for the price.
