3Self Classified Guest House Ratings explained
Grosvenor Guest House, 18 Cambridge Gardens, , Hastings, TN34 1EH
Ideally situated in the heart of Hastings, a stone's throw from the main line station and on the A21 - the main road link to London and the M25, the Grosvenor Guest House is the new place to stay. Having just been totally renovated to a stylish, luxurious standard we think your stay with us will be just perfect and with its brand new, state of the art water pressure system, your trip to the shower should be one of great pleasure! We are a 10 minute walk from the historic Old Town of Hastings with all its restaurants, bars and beautiful walks and scenery. We are also a short walk to the beach and the fishing port. All our rooms are ensuite with large flat screen TV with freeview, fridge, free Wi-Fi and hospitality tray with tea, coffee and biscuits. A fold out table is also provided. The ensuites have large power showers, shampoo and shower gel dispensers, hand soap dispenser and towels. We also have a family room which is two rooms linked by an internal door with a double and single bed being provided. You’ll find The Grosvenor Guest House right in the heart of Hastings, 1066 Country. We are a mere 2 minute’s walk from the town centre where you’ll find a huge variety of shops, bars, restaurants and café’s, not to mention the beautiful beach which leads all the way along to the fishing port. Visit the remains of Hastings Castle, take a stroll across the West Hill which offers stunning views across the famous Hastings Old Town, explore the spooky Smuggler’s Caves, enjoy an evening at the Theatre or simply take a relaxing walk along the promenade. Your stay will be one to remember and we’re sure, like many others, you’ll come back again and again.

Clean, friendly, and expensive for a box room
Recently refurbished the room was finished to a good standard. However it clearly was not previously en-suite so the bathroom has been squeezed in is the smallest I have ever stayed in which also made a small double room even smaller. In short a lot of money for a box room.

great value for money
We usually stay in the travel lodge when we visit friends in hastings but decided to try Grovesnor guest house and we were pleased we did as the room was so much better and having town centre on your door step is great. Will definitely use this place again!

Clean and nicely decorated room. Comfy bed and good shower. What let this b&b down for me was the customer service. I received a series of texts from the owner but never actually met anyone. Keys were left in a box for me to collect and return them to. It made it even more impersonal than staying in a chain hotel.

ManagementResponse

The guest said she was arriving at 11am. I was here waiting for her. When she didn't arrive I asked her when she would be arriving and she said 2.30 - 3pm. Unfortunately I could not be at the guest house at that time so I asked her to let herself in.  It is unfortunate but I run this guest house on my own and I cannot be here 24-7.
