I wonder how many people make the same mistake as is thinking you are part of the Hilton chain.

We arrived to the receptionist arguing with the owner about how under staffed they were. We then went to our room walking through tired corridors in need of cleaning and decoration. On entering our room we was very disappointed. The curtains are ill fitting and covered in stains. The pillows feel like they are filled with rocks. The kettle doesn't fit in the sink so you can't use it. The bathroom was revolting for some reason it was full of flys and when we woke up in the morning there was dead flys in toilet and shower. You can't use the small sink as they have put s shelf over it making it impossible to spit toothpaste out without nearly breaking your nose!!. The shower was awful it's either scalding hot or cold and feels like someone is flicking water on you it so rubbish. All in all a terrible stay and very over priced your rooms are worth no more than £40 and you should not be allowed to use the name Hilton

You get what you pay for

Frosty reception, we were told we would not have to pay until we arrived, but man at reception told us our card had declined and we should have already paid, and wasn't impressed.

Our room was OK, clean but small and a bit shabby. Couldn't complain though as we only paid £39 for the night, we wouldn't have paid more. We were upset to be woken twice in the morning by staff knocking on our door to see if we were in, even though we didn't have to leave till 11am. Apart from that, waking up straight on beach was great.

Room with a view

Lovely single room...very comfy bed, very clean.

Only thing I would say is that the walls are paper thin and the doors closing are very loud and clunky. If you have noisy people who are inconsiderate next to you at first in sounds like your own door is slamming it is that loud. I did mention to Reception. I had to he feeling these may have been long term guests. But that was my only gripe!

Good, clean, basic accommodation.

This is clean and basic accommodation.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was adequate and clean, but it was definitely a "no frills" establishment and very much overpriced for what we got. As visitors from abroad in need of accommodation in order to visit an elderly relative, on a very busy weekend due to the air display at the height of summer, this was not a good example of British hospitality. No wifi in the rooms. Would only go there again if nothing else was available.

Curtains hanging down so would not pull shut.

Had to stand on bed to put them up properly. room had been given a white wash however there was white paint on wooden surfaces. the bathroom had mould between tiles (grout whitener had been unsuccessfully used in places) The worst mould was on the shower floor (I have photos) There was also old I'm assuming shower gel on the tiles with a hair stuck in it. the bed comfort was good however. I asked if I could have a refurbished room for following nights and was informed no 215 was refurbished!. cannot comment on food. I only stayed one night and continued my stay in Eastbourne elsewhere.

Not sure

The bed was really uncomfortable and the mattress very saggy.

The shower was hot and only just ok to wash because the temperature didn't change whichever way the dial was turned. Also no nets at the window which meant we had to keep very heavy curtains shut all the time on a roasting hot day as we could be overlooked

Not a good experience: shabby; smelly; and not particularly clean. Breakfast not very good.

The whole experience was not particularly enjoyable or relaxing.

For example the key cards repeatedly stopped working and needed resetting at reception. When asked why, there was no understanding.

Does what it says

It was comfortable, the breakfast was decent so for a place to stay on business was good value for money.

Great hotel in a great location.

Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Shame about the room on this stay as we were at the back of the hotel. When booking the room we weren't advised that there was a refurb going on which was a pity. I would prefer a later check out but I understand that housekeeping need to get into the rooms.
