100% would recommend it to a friend
fell down on small items, not renewing used items, glass marks not cleaned.
food was great, wine list to die for
A hotel not to be missed!
How often do you get to stay in a castle.
And how often do you get to stay in such a stunning castle!. Not often enough!. This hotel is amazing - set in stunning grounds and very luxurious. It's an expensive place to stay but well worth it. We definitely want to return.
Amberley Castle – Relais & Châteaux
we had great time was really realizing and lovely surroundings
A fantastic experience.
It is rare that absolutely everything is just right at a hotel, particularly when one has an evening meal.
Amberley Castle delivers on all fronts though - a magical and relaxing experience.
Relaxing, enchanting escape with wonderful service
Right from the start, where the gates open onto a beautiful driveway, and the set down point draws into to beauty and luxury this place strives to make you feel special, and looked after.
The umbrella points are a particular genius touch.
The welcome was warm and effortless, and the service continued to be so throughout our stay.
I won't say too much because part of the joy of this wonderful hotel is discovering the details, and being spoilt with each moment.
Although dinner is an additional high cost expenditure, it is so worth it. Once again service was outstanding, attentive without being invasive - beautifully judged.
The food itself was a wonder of discovery and melt in your mouth beautiful delights.
The bed was huge and so comfortable, the room (a junior deluxe - an upgrade from what we booked - thanks laterooms!) was comfortable, full of details and had a great modern bathroom.
The fact you are welcome to explore the grounds after you officially checkout - even though it rained most of the time we were there it didn't detract from the beauty. Would have lived to play round their putting course (not what you call it I know). And there are llamas. (Those excited me!)
Arundel the nearby town is also lovely with good pubs and nice exploring and another beautiful castle. (though I recommend parking just before you come into it)
Overall I could not reccomend the experience more highly. Romantic, beautiful and wonderful service.
We only managed to stay the one night but wished for more.
A wonderful setting and the best hotel experience I have had, having stayed in quite a few. I will return hopefully for a longer stay next time.
We got engaged!!.
The castle is everything you would expect. Covered in history and English heritage. Staff are very friendly and we got upgraded on arrival to the Chichester deluxe suit. I would recommend this place 100% to anyone.
As soon as you roll up the long drive the excitement starts.
When entering the castle there is a wow factor as you take in the perfectly manicured surroundings with doves flying about and the occasional Peacock.
The staff are very warming and can't do enough to make your stay a memorable one.
With only 19 rooms you feel like you have the place to yourself and the dining was superb. We'll be back for certain.
absolutely idyllic location exactly as id expected it to be staff very attentive the dinner amazing
Drink was a little on the expensive side and had to ask for some nibbles when we had a bottle of wine on arrival, lady who served us said they didnt usually do this managed to find us some peanuts,
it is the perfect place if you have had a nervous breakdown very quiet and secluded location.room very clean and comfortable and the dinner and service was impeccable.would i stay again?absolutely without question you wont be disappointed.
