90% would recommend it to a friend
Room was more than adequate in size along with ensuite.
The room was clean but the more you looked close the more that you could see it was starting to show signs of wear and Tear. For example cracked tiles in bathroom around the sink. The breakfasts were absolutely fine. You could ask for anything and you would get it within a few minutes. Plenty of choice and friendly service. Especially picked this accommodation as they allow dogs to stay.
Good location, great breakfast
My 1 night stay here was fine.
Staff are lovely. Hotel was clean and presentable, though very dated.
You need to bare in mind that there is NO LIFT and bedrooms are on the 1st, 2nd (40 stairs) and even 3rd (53 stairs) floor.
My room was small but fine. Dated, but had everything I needed - kettle and drinks, tv, small shower room, hair dryer etc. There was even a dressing gown and little bar of chocolate. I would recommend this hotel, so long as you are not expecting anything fancy. Location is great, close to the sea and town centre. There is an underground car park right opposite. Best thing to bring me back here would be the awesome breakfast. Rarely seen this choice and high standard included in the price. They have everything you could want, from juices, croissants, cakes, full English + good news for me, full veggie breakfast as standard. All deliciously and freshly made in minutes and then served by a very nice, efficient and welcoming waitress. They even have marmite.
Splendid stay, top location and dog friendly!
We very much enjoyed our stay.
It was also great to have a full cooked English Breakfast and to be able to take our dogs with us. The car park is right next to the hotel so is very convenient. To walk out and onto the beach, very quickly was marvellous.
Very enjoyable stay in well located guesthouse
We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Adelaide House in Brighton.
Our room was light and spacious and the beds are comfortable and cosy. The daily sweets with the tea & coffee are a nice touch, as was the cake for guests provided in the house living room. Breakfast very good though would have preferred hot croissants. Staff are pleasant and very helpful and unobtrusive. Location is great - quiet but right near the centre of Brighton. The dated interior and the odd smell in the stairway are the only criticisms.
Lovely little bed and breakfast very clean friendly place
Friendlly and convenient
Excellent breakfast Comfortable beds.
Large room with spacious bathroom. Very pleasant location near promenade.Friendly hosts.Eager to please. Would stay again.
i did not pay for the ritz and that i did not get, you got what you payed for the only two faults i found were that the sink was cracked and when i went to use a draw the front fell off, but it was a lovely old style guest house.
i would use them again.
A really good b+b / hotel .
Great price ,good location ,clean and tidy ,effecient staff ,good breakfast ,car park opposite . What's not to like . I'll definately be back !
Perfect weekend accomodation
Can't fault this family run guest house.
Very personable and does exactly what it says on the tin. The room was basic, but had everything you need for an overnight stay and really close to the seafront, restaurants and pubs. The breakfast was freshly cooked for you and not stingy with the servings. There are a lot of stairs. But they make that really clear to you when you book and provides suitable exercise after breakfast.
Room at the very top of the building good cardiovascular workout.
Clean and tidy but small room no comfy seating,
Lovely bathrobes though, review very mixed . Excellent and friendly owners
