Room too small for a family of 4
I booked a room for 2 children and two adults....
(10 and 12 year old children) Unfortunately the beds in the room were: 1 double bed and a sofa bed which was not a double bed (bearing in mind two children were going to sleep on it). The mattress was very thin and the bed was not sturdy and very uncomfortable. The worse thing was, they had no bed sheets for the sofa bed. My two kids would not have been able to share that bed comfortably..... A bit of comfort is all we wanted. Our room was eventually changed and we were given one single bed and a double bed. Thankfully my husband did not come so I shared a bed with one of my children.
It's a nice clean hotel and the staff are ok. I have no doubt you will be ok if you don't require a family room. Just improve your family room that's all the changes you need to do.
Jurys Inn Brighton
Very pleasant hotel excellent location literally right by the railway station .Staff friendly and efficient.
Rooms comfortable clean and bright overall very good.
Very good stay
Very good stay
Very friendly staff
Free complimentary drink due to an error with the rooms but staff sorted out very quick
Not too far from beach
Laid my hat made my home lol.
Very nice clean pleasant hotel, nicely located for station and town centre/seafront.
All staff were pleasant and jovial especially Vicky who we felt was exceptionally bubbly and went over and beyond to accommodate us whilst on duty in the bar and restaurant, normally I'd stay in one of the big traditional hotels on the seafront at twice the price 2/3 times PCM. But I will definitely return hopefully get a bigger room with a view next time. (thumbs up).
Room was good, breakfast was good, location was good, value was good. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Comfortable and affordable
Pleasantly surprised by the quality.
The only issue was the pull down bed was completely insufficient for twelve year olds side by side so one had to sleep on the floor. Only disappointment we had.
Jurys Inn Brighton
Room was double the price on Saturday night.
Woken early as a crane was being erected outside my window.
Nice hotel and convenient for exploring Brighton. Parking lousy and expensive!
Trying hard but no true blooded Englishman in sight so there were some language issues. Parking was in public facility across the street. Staff were helpful but I had to wait while they found a cart to carry my luggage back into the hotel. Paying for parking was a hassle and involved walking 200 yard to the pay-booth and then an argument with a railway (not hotel) employee about what two days of discounted parking meant. This is all too "rinky-dinky" to be happening at 4 star hotel. A new better and more convenient system should be devised for the convenience of paying guests and not for the convenience of staff or the railway who run the car park. This was the prime reason I was put off the hotel.
Overpriced and was lied about what was on offer.
Valentine's weekend booking.
The hotel called a few days before we were due to arrive to tell me I needed to book a table for dinner as it was about to be fully booked. I was told that it was £60 and included a bottle of wine. Reality was it was that price but no wine and almost empty. I could've walked in off the street and still got a table. They also had other menus that were £20 cheaper.
They put me in the wrong room to start. Then charged me for both rooms on checkout without my knowledge. The room was tiny, it had no heat or even a towel rail in the bathroom. For over £200 I was gutted and that was without the further £170 they took for the other room. The staff spoke very poor English and only had one job. To take my money. The hotel was clean but right next door to a building site. The whole weekend was ruined for us.
