Brighton Marathon Weekend
I booked a room for myself and my husband and our 14 year old daughter, at the time of booking the room I entered the information around age but it was not until the confirmation came through that it advised me that the child had to be a maximum of 10.
There was no breakfast served until 8.30 and I was racing at 0915 in Brighton so therefore paid for breakfast but was unable to have any. It would have been useful to know this prior to booking as we would have stayed somewhere else as this was quite important that I had breakfast. The room was adequate. The hotel was in a beautiful quiet area and located away from any busy traffic. I slept well.
Rooms a little noisy, with passageway doors.
Park under the tree by the hotel entrance at your peril, let's just say don't know what the birds feed on down there but it's a pig to remove lol, rant over. Accommodation lovely, management and staff very courteous, pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel and gardens oozes with character and the old library which is now the huntsman room is just fabulous. Breakfast was very well cooked, plentiful and high quality produce. Carvery on the evening menu was exceptional, on part with a carvery meal we had many years ago in Wales, and never thought we could say that again. Overall well worth the stay and if we're in the area will definitely stay again . Can highly recommend.
