Initially shown to quite a nice room ...but it hadn't been cleaned at all - wet towels bed unmade etc.
No one available to sort at 630pm so had to move to a tiny room. only room for one bed side table - ventilation poor - luckily radiator could be turned off but it was the middle of the night before temperature was comfortable. Walls paper thin.
Tried the gym but it was really dirty. The machines had cobwebs and it all needed a good deep clean - same for the changing rooms. Nice pool etc but it still felt grubby.
we were put off and did not eat there in the evening but I have to say breakfast was v good. lovely to see fresh fruit salad instead of tinned. Great range of food and well cooked. Staff at breakfast friendly and helpful.
Passed the feedback on to the hotel - hoping for a response.
A two night stay and food
We stayed for two nights over a weekend.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the night porter. The room was comfortable and quiet so we slept well. We ate there on the Saturday night to celebrate a birthday with a large group- the food and service were great. The only thing I would say is that we had to hunt for the kettle and tea which was tucked away in a bottom drawer and we only found it on the second day- it would be much more welcoming to have it out on the table.
