About the hotel
Newly refurbished townhouse hotel located in the fashionable Notting Hill area. The difference is in the detail. Most of the 50 individually designed bedrooms boast great beds, crisp white linen, gorgeous fabrics, handcrafted furniture, some with wooden floors and all with modern conveniences.

Disgustingly disappointing room - only
The only good thing about the stay was that reception staff were incredibly friendly.
Unacceptable problems with the room: Weird smell which smelled like turnips. Incredibly dusty. Hairdryer (a fixed appliance in the bathroom) did not work. Broken heater so heating was turned on the whole time. Other problems: Having to give keys to reception each time I went in and out. Policy of not being able to bring food in to the rooms. I was only there for a few hours because I stayed for work purposes. But if I was there for more than a day I definitely would have made a fuss due to the room being so terrible. If you are staying for leisure, the hotel may work for you if you get a better room than the one I was in. If you are staying for business - AVOID it entirely. It's a complete waste of money and by paying a bit more you could get a hotel where you can actually do some work and eat your food whilst working instead of needing to leave the place. Completely regret spending money on this terrible hotel.
4 Star Standard Query?
Having booked a double room, on arrival allocated a boxroom.
Very disappointed with very small room, hardly space for the double bed, one tiny "cupboard", no furniture, no space even for cases. No hot breakfast. Reallocated on 2nd morning to larger room which was adequate. The experience was certainly not what we expected from a four star hotel.
