The Tunbridge Wells Hotel
A very noisy night.
We booked a family room and stayed here whilst a wedding reception took place downstairs. We were made to feel pretty unwelcome by a number of members of staff and guests after arriving back late from dinner elsewhere. The only entrance into the building was through where the wedding reception was taking place, so we had to explain repeatedly that we were booked in the hotel for the night before being let through. Let me just say, it was very awkward for all involved. We had to insist to be catered for in a private room in order to have a few drinks as the hotel bar was in use by the wedding party. A little forward thinking on the hotels part to let us use a fire exit would have helped avoid this entirely. The stay was also pretty noisy well into night with loud music playing, again there was no acknowledgement from the hotel on this. All in all the stay was pretty disappointing and hotel could have done much better especially as it wasn't the cheapest place In town.
