About the hotel
A warm welcome awaits you at Summerfields House, a country style house set in several acres of fields and woodland with delightful formal gardens. The service offered at Summerfields House is very personal and tailored to the individual needs of each client. Hastings is on the south east coast of East Sussex.
We are just over an hour drive away from the cross channel ports of Folkestone, Dover and Newhaven, where ferries berth after their journeys from Calais, Boulogne, Ostend, Dunkirk and Dieppe. The channel tunnel terminal from France and Belguim is also only an hour away. An easy 10 minute stroll will take you along the promenade towards the old town of Hastings where you will see the larger seafront hotels, and the Hastings sea fishing fleet, which is the largest beached sea fishing fleet in the country. Here you can see and purchase fresh fish, crabs and shell fish. Along the promenade there are the wonderful views of the Sussex coast and on warm fine days you may be able to see the coast of France, and occasionally the dolphins playing around in the surf. Have a walk around the twittens of the old town and take a look in the "old curio's shops". Venture to any of the three museums or spend time in Underwater World or the Smugglers Adventure in St Clements caves. Hastings is full of cafes, restaurants and wine bars. Take a sample of the local cuisine, most at very reasonable prices. All rooms are en suite and furnished with super-king size or twin beds. Breakfast is served in the elegant dining room or the Victorian conservatory. A full English breakfast is available together with many healthy alternatives, including vegetarian options.

Excellent night's stay.
Summerfields house is an excellent place to stay weather on pleasure or business, quiet secure location, this was important to me as I had a classic car with me, very welcoming with well appointed room overlooking the garden, breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the garden, the egg's Benedict are highly recommended.
overall a good choice of accommodation.
A real home from home
If you do not find this the most enjoyable b&b ever there is something wrong with you.
The owners Liz and Alfredo are a lovely couple with genuine concern for your comfort and enjoyment. Every morning starts with a smile as Alfredo is a character who makes you enjoy life. Liz is efficient and a smile that has to be mirrored. I stayed for 3 days in October 2015 and it is faultless
Dont hesitate to book it is the best you will find for miles around
