Don't stay here
It looks like a doss house from the minute you arrive, the room was nice and warm though.
There was no coffee, milk or even a teaspoon, it was a room booked for 3 people and only 2 mugs. I slept in the single bed but was too scared to turn around as the bed was very shaky and I was scared it would break. There was a couple bits of rubbish under the bed with cobwebs on. The king size bed has a double sheet on it which was stretched so much it would not stay on the bed. If you want comfort I do not recommend this place at all
a bit basic
The staff are really friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
But the rooms are fairly poky and up a couple of metal staircases in out-buildings behind what is a basic local pub, not a coaching inn. Bedrooms are warm and clean but with some peripheral lights not working. This would be fine if one was paying £45. But £65 seemed a bit steep for the quality even though it included two slap-up breakfasts. Thanks to the kind staff, all the same. I think they should cut their prices a bit.
