Lovely Modern Hotel
Everything was very comfortable and singularly convenient for a visit to Venice.
A small wish is to have a means of making a hot drink in my room for that late evening nightcap!
Loved the Carnival Palace! Loved Venice!
Having never visited Venice before I was looking for a hotel for me and my Husband that was reasonably priced (in Venice terms), contemporary but of excellent quality.
It was easy to reach by the Vaporetto, which stopped no more than 30 steps from the front of the hotel, and which we used each day to tour around easily. Being in a quieter district and not on the Grand Canal we enjoyed the evening stroll to find somewhere to eat (the Carnival does not have a restaurant but does have a bar which does snacks) and felt like we were a part of the local Venice.
We felt we really got a great hotel with the Carnival Palace. The staff were very helpful, especially as we had turned up early and left all our baggage with them, which we found already delivered to our room on our return.
Our room was of a good size, and although we did not get one of the rooms with a canal or garden view, as we were sightseeing it did not detract from our stay. The breakfast was good with continental food, hot & cold which could be eaten inside or out on the patio.
The bar served drinks and snacks, and the barman was very friendly and helpful. All in all if we came back to Venice we would definitely stay there again - no question.
