About the hotel
Experience the best in Scottish scenery in the beautiful and historic surroundings of Glencoe. Now in its 77th year The Glencoe Hotel has just undergone a full refurbishment and now offers 15 bedrooms, many with superb views of the loch, a cosy and welcoming bar and a restaurant offering wholesome, filling food all day. Take in the views from the comfort of our restaurant or if you fancy dining al fresco there is the decked terrace which also comprises fabulous views over the loch.
With the sun setting over the Ballachulish bridge and a bit of a breeze (to keep the dreaded midges at bay), what better way is there to enjoy a big bowl of fresh langoustines. The bar offers the perfect spot to indulge in some post climb analysis; with comfy seating and a large selection of beers, wines and spirits, tired legs will soon be recovered. Work your way around the distilleries of Scotland, tasting malts from our extensive selection - from the rich and peaty Islay malts such as Ardbeg, to the smooth caramel flavours of the lowland malts such as Auchentoshan. Enjoy a glass of wine and thaw out cold toes in front of the wood burning stove, or join the locals for a cold pint and a chat in the bar.

Bit of a let down
smaller room than i was expecting, looked like they half finished the renovation, bedside light missing, toilet roll holder missing, bit missing of the tap, wardrode very shoddy and cheap and guess what...
bit missing of it at the front. Only small things and I know i'm being picky but we stayed in Scotland 3 nights and stayed in 2 really nice hotels and then this one. I just expected a bit more. The food was nice but it was seved on silly bits of wood instead of plates, supposed to be trendy but how do you clean a bit of old wood. you can't stick it the dish washr can you. got to be scubbed an no kitchen worker on minimum wage is ever going to scrub wooden plates properly. i know i wouldn't. and the portions wrer a bit small, my wife had chicken skewers, which as i say was nice but i had to give her a bit of my steak to keep her going, and no, she is not a big fat greedy munter, she has perfectly normal BMI. staff were all good, perfectly nice freindly salt of the earth Scottish types, but would i stay here again. no, not really.
Overnight stay for a hillwalk in the morning.
Friendly staff and management. 3 course meal for £20 which was excellent, would recommend the mussels. Very large portion. Sticky toffee pudding to die for.
