Cheap and cheerful

The room was fine, although the lift was out of order and we were on the 4th floor up 80 narrow and very hot stairs.

It was plenty big enough for my sister and I and we had a good sea view, For the price it was value for money. It was noisy but we expected that being on the sea front although some of the loud music appeared to be from within the hotel. Make sure you take your booking reference and the card you booked with otherwise you might find yourself without a hotel room.

Brighton bank holiday

We arrived to hear we had been free upgraded.

To a 1st floor seaview room. When we got to our big room the view was perfect right across the sea. The room itself needed to be refurbished, furniture was very outdated and grubby looking, you could almost ask yourself was it clean. The bed looked like a double but was actually 2 singles put together. The ensuite looked fairly modern, clean loo and basin, shower again looked a little grubby, no soap holder which you could have done with. Water was hot and plenty of it. The radiator in the room was excellent, turn it up and it became hot really quickly, turned it down and it responded. Tea and coffee in the room with milk and sugar - large kettle all worked well.
