nice 2/3 star. not 4star
The cotswald grange is not a four star hotel. It is a bit worn. We were put in an awful 1star room at first. Receptionist was polite and moved us to a much nicer room. The hotel breakfadt was very good and they have a nice bar. I think the hotel is undergoing renovations. The pictures are deceiving. The hotel is in a good position and a nice stay but dont expect 4 star.

Our experienc.
Our stay was just what we needed....your beds were excellent..slept so well for two nights.
Food was excellent...no probs!everyone we spoke to was really helpful and pleasant. One small point...the windows with the scaffold outside would not lock,so had to take all valuables with us.
But the walk to town was embracing.
will come again for sure. kind regards Peter and Karen and Sandra.

Cut off
Food and dinning very good, should have been more attention to the room. Very strange room layout had a locked communication door to the next room, could hear people through it! It was advertised as being classic and therefore a higher than a standard room.

Nice but cramped
The room was lovely, however it was tiny and claustrophobic. The wet room was really dated and once the shower had been used the floor remained saturated and I had to put towels down to try and soak up the water. The food in the restaurant was nice but a bit over cooked. According to the late rooms booking I saved £300 with the price I paid, frankly I felt robbed for what I had paid. Very disappointing as the pictures of it promised so much more.

No one would pay £350 per night - I feel this is false advertising!
I booked this hotel as a treat for my 40th birthday, as we were staying the night in Cheltenham after eating out with friends. As it was advertised as rooms being reduced from £350 per night to £85, I believed it would be fab quality and therefore booked it. While the room was clean, the decoration was extremely dated - a cross between orange and mustard colour bathroom suite and tiles to match and the bedroom furniture was similarly dated. The bed was also a standard double which felt very small compared to the normal kind size you would expect in a nice hotel. I can only assume that this was one of the nicer rooms as my husband did call in advance to tell them it was an important birthday and check we had a decent room.
On a positive note. the breakfast was lovely, as are the main areas downstairs which have high ceilings and lots of light.
In summary - if you don't mind a dated room and accept that £85 per night is not a bargain price, then it's an adequate place to stay. Very disappointing if you want somewhere special to stay.

The hotel had a uniqueness to it which was a great change from many faceless hotels. the staff were friendly and although there was generally only one junior member of staff around during the day they were always polite and attentive. We didn't eat at the hotel in the evening but the breakfasts were great. The only problem we found that, being a converted old house (albeit clearly a grand old house!), it was very noisy - every footstep, whisper and creaking floorboard could be heard and I was kept awake one night by rattling windows which drove me mad!
