Reviews - Golden Tulip Cannes Hotel De Paris

34 BOULEVARD D'ALSACE , Cannes, 06400
Elegant turn off the century mansion located in the heart of Cannes, facing its lovely private garden featuring pool, only 10 minutes by walk from the famous Croisette. With its castle design surrounded by a soft and elegant atmosphere is the Hotel de Paris a truly place of sophistication and simplicity, furnished with restored antique furniture in keeping with the Louis XVI style.
Breakfast Buffet is held in superb medieval style rooms, that reminds the spirit of the “Chateaux " in France. Bar Le Trianon is open 24 hours a day, carpark on spot, hotel fitted with wireless LAN connection. all rooms are soundproof and feature air conditioning, satellite television and Pay-TV, voice mail, safe, bathroom with bathtub or shower and hairdryer. Private Beach Le Rado Plage, with preferred rates, within 10 minutes of walk

From the 01/11/11, a new governmental taxe of 2%, based on the room rate per night and voted by the Parlement in the National Assembly will apply the 01/11/11.This tax will be additionnal, not at all included in the room price, and must be paied on spot.

Staying during the Cannes festival
The Hotel is situated in a convenient enough spot for accessing the business meetings around the Cannes Film Festival. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area was a nice spot to relax, although a little difficult to access. Breakfast was full buffet, and completely adequate. The room was an interesting lay out and away from the normal identical hotel rooms scenario, thus giving it a boutique feel. In all I would return to the Golden Tulip, bur would request a pool side room next time.

Most dated room on our 2 week travel, reception staff very abrupt and room not ready as booked for 2 pm. Reception lady not very clear with updating us on time room would be ready.
Room allocated very old and let's down the overall hotel as apart from the rooms the rest of the hotel was very nice.
