The double room cost £125 and upon checking in we were charged another £5 to park in the hotel car park.
The room smelt stale and the once white bathroom suite was yellow and cracked. Horribly thin and hard towels and only provided with one tea bag and milk. The breakfast was very poor indeed with cheap sausages, white tasteless eggs and stale bread. No fresh fruit on offer. I left my toilet bag at hotel upon leaving and called the hotel twice to enquire about getting it back but to date they have not bothered to call me back. Very disappointing, poor value for money.
Not worth the money
Sadly I paid £264 including the extra parking fee for 2 nights and it simply wasn't worth the money.
The shower soak away was blocked and the room hadn't been cleaned properly, there was sticky mess over the desk chair and bed side units. Also the breakfast was poor. At these prices I wouldn't stay there again.
Don't go looking for a great eexperience
The hotel is clean and has all you need for one night.
Restaurant offered a choice of 5 meals and breakfast was appalling. Additional £5 parking which of course is not made clear anywhere obvious. However, the biggest disappointment is the lack of customer care skills. No friendly welcome, exit or at any other time
Had a lovely time would go back
Defo recommend lovely staff
Much better than I expected
Pleasantly surprised - very little to be negative about.
Helpful staff, good service. Could complain that it costs £5 per day to park but that did cover not just the evening of our arrival but the full day of checkout, so we were able to leave the car at the hotel and go around town. Walking into town isn't too far, we walked all the way to the Quayside quite easily from the hotel (with a baby in stroller) .
Jewel in Poole
The accommodation has everything you need and is close to all the amenities that you require for your stay.
The staff are excellent and often check if they can do anything to help. There is a 24hr pizza service at reception and the breakfast sausages are quality rather than low grade rubbish. All in all, I could not fault the place. Will be back!
Holiday Inn Express Poole
A bit too far from quay.
No bacon for breakfast.
Nice comfortable stay
Perfect place for an overnight stay.
Comfortable, clean, good customer service and a good breakfast selection. Very helpful staff who rung me and offered to post my ring which I had left. Only downside was value for money as £60 for one night was steep considering how basic the hotel is.
What you'd expect
I wasn't expecting the Ritz but it was a good stay.
Only things to let it down was the shower being underpowered and Luke warm, and the walls being fairly thin (to the extend that we could hear next door having sex). Really impressed with breakfast and the staff were all very friendly.
Holiday Inn Express Poole
Brilliant all round, staff couldnt do enough for their customers.
