Central and value for money
For the purposes of our visit the Hallam provided a perfect solution. Centrally located near all Filey's amenities, round the corner from bus and train stations. The website makes clear that parking outside is not possible but this is not a major problem as there is a network of sidestreets in the vicinity where you should easily find a free space. On the negative side the room and bathroom in particular were rather cramped. But as for us this was somewhere purely to grab a quick shower before going out and then somewhere to get our heads down, this was not a major headache - particularly taking into account the very reasonable price. Breakfast was excellent and very promptly served and we were accommodated with one slightly earlier than advertised as we had a deadline to meet for our boat trip from Bridlington. One thing that does need looking at though is injecting a little more warmth into the welcome! That said, all in all it was a satisfactory experience.

Clean and Friendly
We arrived earlier than the stated time but no problem the gentleman who let us in was in the middle of cleaning but no hassle settling us into our room. Very comfortable accommodation, unfortunately we didn't have breakfast as we needed to leave earlier than planned but it looked good and the other guests seemed to be enjoying it!!
