On arrival greeting was jolly, leading up to and room was not as we thought, room dirty we had to ask for room to be vacuumed, restaurant non existent it was just find a table in bar type area, which had a Transvestites evening going on, or in the conservatory area with a table and chairs just stuck around edge, although we did see another room which was supposed to be a restaurant, food, pie was ok potatoes warmed up several times it appeared, no gravy until asked for, Breakfast was good and tables ready laid out although in the bar area again, the room we felt having stayed in many hotels was very over priced for what you got, we felt the pictures online didn't quiet measure up to reality, even for allowing for its age, we certainly would not stay again.
Hotel seemed to lack a lounge area with comfy seats.
I would stay here again.
Good to have a full length mirror. Also coathangers in the wardrobe. Good breakfast & plenty of it. Tea & coffee provided in room also a hairdryer. I think it's the little things that make a difference.
A nice quite pub with a big car park.
Breakfast is good
Great old building lots of charm
It's a good hotel with freindly staff that are helpful and willing
Quiet comfortable stopover with car park.
This hotel is now a 'regular' for me; a superb 'oasis' near the centre of Worthing, a short 10 minute stroll from the beach.
The view from my very quiet and comfortable bedroom window was onto adjacent parkland. For the romantics: Beechwood Hall looks like a Walt Disney creation from the front. The large customer car park completes the picture. On this occasion I did not eat (my sign writing work scheduled for an early start), but previously found the food to be excellent. I could not find fault and would recommend without hesitation.
A pleasant historic hotel, but a bit down at heel
We had an enjoyable stay at Beechwood Hall, with a comfortable bed.
Shower room was rather small and dated, but all worked fine. With a bit of thought, the bathroom could have been extended and the room altered to accommodate a king size bed - then it would have been great. Staff need to pay attention to cleaning. Basically clean but thick dust above light fittings and door frames etc.
Very good location to explore Worthing, big room clean and tidy.
Breakfast good. Only negative was shower in bathroom
Unusual welcome but the real hoteliers were away. Bags carried to the room which as the door opened so surprised by both a double and single bed. Another door led to a smaller child's bed. Huge curved bath, all really clean and lovely. Bay window with table and chairs. Yes the floorboards creak and the floor not level but the building is old. Lovely conservative downstairs to enjoy evening bar meal. Food good but dessert is pricey at £6. Small beer garden where squirrels run around. There are books downstairs in reception and even a piano. Shame not as near the seafront but you do get a car park so an excellent trade off. Loved it. Breakfast in the bar area included choice of fresh strawberries and pineapple though only orange as a fruit juice.
Nice But Overpriced
Welcoming, clean, real ale on tap and decent breakfast but felt we were paying a bit extra for the privilege of on-site parking.
Would stay again but only if discounted.
