Reviews - Wynards Farm B&B

4Visit England Assessed Farmhouse Ratings explained
CHALDON ROAD , DORCHESTER, DT2 8DQ
Wynards Farm Bed & Breakfast Accommodation is 4 star graded English Tourist Board assessed, plus Breakfast Award farmhouse, which is set in 11 acres. Wynards Farmhouse is set in an elevated position overlooking the Church and village of Winfrith Newburgh, with uninterrupted views over the open Dorset countryside, and is situated just 3 miles from Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.

The two upper rooms have been tastefully converted from the original hayloft, with exposed beams and Velux windows, and the ground floor room offers an entrance into the garden, ideal for visitors with reduced mobility. All rooms offer tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, clock/radio and hairdryer.

Breakfast is served in our farmhouse dinning room, with the morning sun streaming through the French windows, and is cooked to order. We offer a wide choice including full English, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, eggs benedict, cereals, fruit, yogurt, toast, homemade jam and honey. Packed lunches can be provided by arrangement.

A little gem of a find
The location of this farmhouse is perfect, there is so much nearby including Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door just 5 miles away, Monkey World about the same, the Red Lion pub which you pass on the way to the property provides delicious food with very friendly staff. Judy, your B&B hostess is delightful, if you are lucky enough to have the ground floor room that steps out into the beautiful garden then you will enjoy Judy's old study which she has now made into a little lounge for guests of this room to enjoy, there is even a mini fridge in this lounge to house milk but it is plenty big enough to pop in a bottle of wine or two. The quality of the bed linen, towels and toiletries is excellent - just a warning though, the towel rail in the bathroom is permanently on is incredibly hot so mind your skin. This accommodation offers comfort, peace, tranquillity and excellent services from the owners. I booked another couple of nights before I came away as I feel I have found a little treasure here which I am almost reluctant to share.

English Countryside magic
My mother and I stayed at this lovely BandB in November for the night. Friendly charming service, excellent breakfast and stunning views. We went on charming country walks with our dog and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be returning soon.

Reccomended
Beautiful farm location in the heart of Dorset countryside. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful in giving us indications about places in the area to visit. The room was actually a detached annex with a lot of caracter. Very nice feeling when waking up in the morning. Excellent breakfast with local products
